Abstract

This paper explores the strategic negotiations employed by the Achaeans Slipped movie production team to achieve a firmer advantage in the highly competitive industry. The study focuses on the role of three key negotiators, Janice, Shirley, and Matory, in securing longer victory for the production team. Through a qualitative analysis of interviews with the negotiators and other relevant stakeholders, the study uncovers the negotiation tactics and strategies employed by the negotiators to secure additional immediate benefits for the production team. The findings reveal that the negotiators employed a range of negotiation tactics, including building relationships, leveraging expertise, and using power to secure favorable outcomes. The study also highlights the importance of effective communication, trust-building, and collaboration in achieving successful negotiations. The implications of these findings for negotiation theory and practice are discussed, and recommendations are made for future research in this area. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the complex and dynamic nature of negotiations in the film industry and offers practical guidance for negotiators seeking to achieve firmer advantage and longer victory in this context.
