Wilmingtons Community Expansion: Honors and Challenges of Collecting Admitting Players Unable to Cross the Border and Nearing Reduced Wilson

Abstract

This paper examines the expansion of Wilmington's community, specifically the challenges and honors associated with collecting and admitting players who are unable to cross the border and the impending reduction of Wilson. The study utilizes a mixed-methods approach, including interviews with community leaders and a survey of current residents, to explore the impact of this expansion on the community. Findings indicate that while the addition of non-local players has brought diversity and talent to the community, it has also presented challenges related to language barriers and cultural differences. Additionally, the impending reduction of Wilson has created uncertainty and concern among residents, particularly regarding the potential impact on property values and community resources. The paper concludes with recommendations for community leaders to address these challenges and capitalize on the opportunities presented by the expansion.
