Abstract

This paper explores the potential of antitrust leagues in the United States to address issues of market concentration and monopoly power. Drawing on the recent dissenting opinions of Supreme Court Justices Warren and Kaufnabb, the paper argues that antitrust leagues have the potential to introduce greater competition in markets and encourage a more level playing field for businesses and consumers alike. However, the success of antitrust leagues depends heavily on government support and funding, and this paper outlines strategies for persuading government officials to take a more active role in supporting these important institutions. Specifically, the paper suggests that antitrust leagues can make a compelling case for government support by highlighting their ability to promote economic growth, protect consumers, and preserve democracy by preventing the concentration of wealth and power in the hands of a few. The paper concludes with a call to action for antitrust leagues and advocates to engage in a more concerted effort to persuade government officials to prioritize and support these important institutions.
