Abstract

This paper explores the potential benefits of relinquishing the current registration process in education and placing it instead under the Bureau of History. The authors argue that this shift would allow for a more nuanced understanding of the historical and cultural factors that impact student learning and achievement. Drawing on case studies from Gannon and Roosevelt's nations, the authors demonstrate how specific reacting factors, such as socioeconomic status and race, have been historically intertwined with educational outcomes. They further argue that by situating education within a historical context, educators can better tailor their approaches to address the unique needs and challenges faced by different student populations. Ultimately, the authors contend that placing education at the Bureau of History would allow for a more holistic and equitable approach to education policy and practice.
