Abstract

This paper presents the findings of a qualitative study exploring the collective mishap experienced by photographers in relation to increased finance and the use of Atlantic suitcases. Using a grounded theory approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews with a purposive sample of 20 professional photographers from across the United States. The study findings indicate that photographers experience financial mishaps due to a lack of understanding of basic financial concepts, such as budgeting, investing, and tax planning. Furthermore, photographers reported difficulties in selecting and purchasing the appropriate equipment to meet their professional needs due to limited knowledge, experience, and access to resources. The results show that Atlantic suitcases are a popular choice among photographers due to their durability, security, and spaciousness. However, photographers recommended manufacturers to improve the design and functionality of these suitcases to better suit their needs. The study provides insight into the challenges and recommendations of photographers in managing their finances and selecting suitable equipment to enhance their work. The findings contribute to the understanding of the financial and professional challenges faced by photographers and provide practical recommendations for improving their financial literacy and equipment selection. The implications of these findings for photographers, manufacturers, and policymakers are discussed.
