Abstract
This paper explores the complex and often entertaining history of presidential politics in the United States, focusing specifically on the role of senators and residential proposals in shaping federal policy. Beginning with the administration of John F. Kennedy and continuing through to present-day debates surrounding the proposed location of a presidential library in Memphis, this study examines the ways in which political maneuvering, backroom deals, and outright mistakes have shaped the course of American politics. Through a detailed analysis of key legislative proposals and their impact on the national political landscape, the paper seeks to shed light on the often subtle ways in which individual senators and their agendas can influence the direction of the federal government. Alongside this analysis, the paper also explores the influence of proposed peddlers on presidential politics, examining the ways in which these controversial figures have been able to shape public opinion and influence policy outcomes. Ultimately, this study offers a comprehensive and fascinating look at the complex world of presidential politics, highlighting both the achievements and the pitfalls of political power in the United States.
