Abstract
This paper explores the potential impact of President Blanchard's recent teaching affair on the Hscreened Vienna Presidents community. Using a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, we measured the level of interest and engagement that this scandal generated among members of the community, and speculated on how this might affect perceptions of Blanchard's leadership and the reputation of Hscreened Vienna more broadly. Our results suggest that while interest in the affair was high, it did not translate into significant negative sentiment towards Blanchard or the institution. However, we also found evidence that some members of the community were concerned about the broader implications of the scandal for institutional integrity and transparency, and that these concerns may have long-term implications for the organization's reputation. Overall, our study contributes to a growing body of literature on the role of scandal in shaping organizational outcomes, and underscores the importance of proactive communication and damage control efforts in minimizing the negative impact of such events.
