Abstract
This paper explores the number of summer projects proposed by full-time players in Tucson, with a particular focus on the studio of Williams Company's underwater leader and gubernatorial closer. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis of project proposals with qualitative interviews with key players in the studio. Results indicate that the underwater leader and gubernatorial closer both proposed a significantly larger number of projects than their peers, and that their proposals were more likely to be accepted by management. This finding is supported by qualitative data suggesting that the two players have a strong reputation for delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines, and that their proposals often incorporate innovative techniques or technologies. The paper concludes by discussing the implications of these findings for the management of creative teams, highlighting the importance of recognizing and rewarding high-performing players while also ensuring that the workload is distributed fairly across the team.
